Storage near Tyndall Air Force Base

Month-to-month units and vehicle spaces a short drive from the base — because orders change, and a twelve-month storage contract is the last thing you need when they do.

What Tyndall families store with us

  • The overflow that won’t fit in base housing — housing is smaller than the last place more often than it’s bigger, and a 10×10 is cheaper than a storage-unit-shaped hole in your weight allowance.
  • Whatever exceeds the weight allowance. Going over costs you real money out of pocket. Leaving the heavy, replaceable things in storage is usually the cheaper call.
  • A car during a deployment or an unaccompanied tour. An outdoor vehicle space costs a fraction of shipping it twice, and it’s waiting when you get back.
  • The boat or the camper. You bought it because you were stationed on the Emerald Coast. You don’t have to sell it to take orders elsewhere — park it here.
  • Everything, briefly, between houses. The three-week gap that nobody plans for.

Ask about the military rate

Tell us you’re serving, a veteran, or a military family and we’ll tell you the best we can do rather than making you dig for it. That’s on top of the first month free.

First month free

New tenants get the first month free on any unit or outdoor space — including the big RV spaces. Month to month, so you are never locked into a year to get the deal.

Tyndall is rebuilding, and the base is growing

Hurricane Michael went through Tyndall in October 2018 and took most of it. What has been going up since is a deliberately modern installation, with F-35As replacing what was there before — which means people arriving, construction crews, contractors, and a steady churn of families in and out of Bay County.

Practically, that means two things for storage. Housing is tight, and timing is unpredictable. Both argue for keeping your commitment short and your access early.

Practical things worth knowing

  • Get the gate code before you need it. Movers arrive when they arrive; you don’t want to be sorting paperwork with a truck idling.
  • Check your renters or homeowners policy first. Many already extend to a storage unit, which saves you buying a second one. Some military-focused insurers cover stored vehicles at a reduced rate too — worth one phone call.
  • Label by room, not by contents. When you unpack in a different state eight months later, “master bedroom” beats “misc”.
  • Photograph the unit when you load it. Takes a minute, settles any claim later.

Questions people actually ask

How far are you from Tyndall AFB?

A short drive across Panama City. Call us and we’ll give you the route from the gate you use.

Is there a military discount?

Ask — tell us you’re serving or a veteran and we’ll tell you the best available rate. It stacks with the first month free.

Can I set this up before I arrive in Florida?

Yes. Plenty of tenants arrange a unit from their last duty station and collect the code when they land. Send us your dates.

What if my orders change and I need out early?

Everything is month to month. Give notice per the agreement and you’re done — no break fee on a term you never signed.

Can someone else access my unit while I'm deployed?

Yes, if you authorise them in writing with the office before you go. Sort it out beforehand, not from overseas.
