Self storage units in Panama City Beach

Interior and drive-up units from a beach-gear closet to a three-bedroom house, on a gated site with keypad entry and cameras through the aisles.

Sizes, and what actually fits in them

Sizes are easier to picture in furniture than in square feet, so here is roughly what each one holds. If you’re between two, take the larger — a unit you can walk into is worth more than the few dollars saved.

Drive-Up Matters More Here Than Most Places

Most of what gets stored on this stretch of coast is heavy, awkward or wet — appliances out of a rental turnover, tile and trim from a refit, coolers, canopies, a kayak. Interior units with a corridor and a lift turn a twenty-minute job into an afternoon. Our drive-up rows let you reverse a truck or a trailer to within a few feet of the roll-up door and load straight in.

Interior units are still the right answer for the small, dry, valuable things — documents, seasonal decorations, sports gear — and they cost less.

What You Get

Drive right up to the door

Back the truck or the trailer straight to your unit. No corridors, no lifts, nothing carried twice.

Gated keypad entry

Your own code, and every entry and exit logged against it. The gate is locked the rest of the time.

Video surveillance

Cameras covering the gate, the drive aisles and the parking rows.

Aisles built for trailers

Turning room for a fifth wheel or a boat on a tandem axle — not a car park with a gate bolted on.

Month to month

Stay a month or stay a decade. Snowbirds and rental owners are not locked in for a year.

Lit and well drained

Lighting through the rows after dark, and a surface that drains after a Gulf-coast downpour.

Storing near salt air — what to know

Coastal storage has its own rules, and nobody tells you them at the counter. A few that matter:

  • Rinse anything that has been in salt water before it goes in. Salt keeps working on metal long after the water has dried, and it will find your trailer hitch, your tools and your bike chain.
  • Don’t seal things in plastic. Sheet plastic traps humidity against whatever it is protecting. Cotton sheets and moving blankets breathe; plastic wrap grows mold.
  • Get furniture off the floor on pallets or 2×4s. It costs nothing and it means a wet floor is never a ruined sofa.
  • Silica or a bucket of desiccant in a closed unit does more than people expect, especially for anything with electronics or leather.

Questions people actually ask

Do you have climate-controlled units?

Ask when you call — inventory changes. For most of what people store on the coast, a drive-up unit with good ventilation and a bit of sensible packing is the right answer anyway.

Do I need my own lock?

Bring a disc lock, or buy one from the office. Disc locks are much harder to cut than a padlock and they cost a few dollars more.

Is insurance required?

Yes, tenant insurance is required. Most home or renters policies already extend to a storage unit — check yours and we’ll take a copy. If not, we can point you at a policy.

Can I store a car in a unit?

Yes, in a 10×20 or larger. If you don’t need it indoors, an outdoor vehicle space costs less.

What can't I store?

Nothing living, nothing perishable, and nothing flammable or hazardous — fuel, propane, paint thinner, fireworks. Drain the fuel and disconnect the battery on anything with an engine.
